The Etihad Rail network recently announced the launch of a high-speed rail service linking Dubai and Abu Dhabi. This new train, capable of reaching speeds of 350 km\/h, promises to revolutionise travel between the two main cities of the United Arab Emirates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thanks to this new rail link, the journey time between Dubai and Abu Dhabi will be significantly reduced to just 30 minutes. The route will include six key stations, including Reem Island, Saadiyat Island, Yas Island and Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi, as well as Al Maktoum International Airport and Al Jaddaf in Dubai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Antonios Vouloudis, Senior Director of Sustainability at New York University Abu Dhabi, this high-speed train could replace more than 700 cars on the roads, thereby helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and ease road congestion. This initiative is part of a drive for sustainability and innovation, aimed at improving the quality of life in the United Arab Emirates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Passengers will enjoy high-quality services, including Wi-Fi, a variety of dining options and panoramic views through specially designed windows. The journey will feature panoramic views of the Al Maha Forest in Fujairah, enhancing the travel experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As well as offering environmental and comfort benefits, this project is also expected to have a significant economic impact. It is estimated that it will contribute 145 billion dirhams to the United Arab Emirates\u2019 gross domestic product (GDP) over the next 50 years, thereby bolstering the country\u2019s economic development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
