According to the <strong>Roads and Transport Authority (RTA)<\/strong>, <strong>70 % of the construction site is now complete<\/strong>, marking a decisive milestone in this major project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An ambitious project worth 332 million AED<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With a budget of <strong>332 million dirhams<\/strong>, the project includes several major infrastructure projects, including a <strong>an 800-metre two-way tunnel<\/strong> comprising <strong>four lanes in each direction<\/strong>. This development is intended to significantly improve the flow of traffic on this busy route, which links <strong>Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road<\/strong> and <strong>Al Khail Road<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a result of this work, the journey time on this section will be reduced from <strong>9.7 minutes down to just 3.8 minutes<\/strong>, enabling a <strong>significant time savings for motorists<\/strong> thereby relieving congestion on several of the city\u2019s main roads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">More than a million residents directly affected<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Residents of rapidly expanding neighbourhoods such as <strong>Al Barsha South<\/strong>, <strong>Dubai Hills<\/strong> and the surrounding areas will be among the first to benefit from this project. <strong>Over a million residents<\/strong> will find their daily lives made easier by smoother traffic flow and more efficient commutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As well as reducing traffic congestion, these improvements will have a positive impact on quality of life by reducing the stress of commuting, cutting fuel consumption and helping to <strong>to reduce CO\u2082 emissions from road traffic<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A project that forms part of Dubai\u2019s strategic vision<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The modernisation of Umm Suqeim Street is fully in line with the <strong>Dubai\u2019s urban connectivity strategy<\/strong>, which places transport infrastructure at the heart of its sustainable development.
