It can now be used to <strong>pay for parking, pay for meals, go shopping, and even cover education-related costs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This development is in line with Dubai\u2019s vision of becoming a <strong>City 100 % digital<\/strong>, where technology makes every aspect of city life easier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">From mobility to universal payment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Originally launched for public transport, the Nol card was designed as a solution for <strong>Simple, fast and secure payment<\/strong>. This partnership positions Dubai at the forefront of financial interoperability between local solutions and global platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Practical and real-world applications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new features of the Nol card are designed to <strong>make everyday life easier<\/strong> residents:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Smart parking<\/strong> : direct payment at car parks managed by Parkin, with no need for a third-party app or a paper ticket.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Shopping and dining<\/strong> : the Nol card can be used at thousands of partner shops, caf\u00e9s and restaurants across the city.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Education<\/strong> : payment of school fees, enrolment fees or fees for extracurricular activities at schools affiliated with the KHDA.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Digital services<\/strong> : gradual integration into government kiosks and apps, making it easier to pay for public services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This unified approach enables each resident to <strong>centralise its payments on a single platform<\/strong>, whilst enjoying full traceability and exclusive discounts tailored to their profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A special card for students: \u201cStudy in Dubai \u2013 Nol ISIC\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alongside these innovations, the RTA and the KHDA have announced the launch of the <strong>\u201cStudy in Dubai \u2013 Nol ISIC\u201d card\u201d<\/strong>, a version specially designed for students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This card combines several functions in a single card:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Official student card<\/strong> recognised by universities and schools in Dubai.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Travel card<\/strong> to travel on buses, the underground and trams at a reduced fare.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Payment card<\/strong> for everyday shopping.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lifestyle discount card<\/strong> through the inclusion of the ISIC (International Student Identity Card), which offers discounts on leisure activities, restaurants and cultural services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With this programme, Dubai is boosting its appeal as <strong>international academic destination<\/strong>, whilst supporting student life through practical technological solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A key step towards the \u201cSmart City\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The modernisation of the Nol card forms part of the strategy to <strong>Dubai\u2019s digital transformation<\/strong>, as set out in the plan <strong>Dubai Digital Strategy 2030<\/strong>. This vision aims to <strong>to make the city fully connected and cashless<\/strong>, where every service \u2014 from transport to education \u2014 is integrated into a single digital infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the RTA, more than <strong>5 million Nol cards<\/strong> are currently in circulation.
