Dubai, a cutting-edge metropolis, is set to take a significant step forward in the field of urban mobility with the introduction of the first flying cars by 2027. This ambitious project, led by the Dutch company PAL-V, aims to transform travel by combining road travel with flight.

The PAL-V Liberty: a revolution in personal transport

After 12 years of testing and certification, PAL-V has obtained the necessary authorisations to launch the PAL-V Liberty, the first two-seater commercial vehicle capable of travelling on roads and flying like a gyrocopter. Priced at $799,000, this model promises to significantly reduce journey times, particularly in densely populated urban areas such as Dubai.

Production and roll-out schedule for the United Arab Emirates

Production of the PAL-V Liberty is set to begin in 2025 in the Netherlands, with the first deliveries in Europe scheduled for late 2026. The United Arab Emirates will be among the first to benefit from this innovation, thanks to a strategic partnership with Jetex, a major player in private aviation in the region. The first units are expected to be available from early 2027.

Steps to be taken before launch

Before it goes on sale, the PAL-V Liberty will have to complete 100 hours of test flights, scheduled for early 2026. Public demonstrations are also planned in Dubai in late 2026, alongside the establishment of training centres for future owners.

Dubai: a hub for the mobility of the future

The introduction of flying cars is part of Dubai’s drive to position itself as a global leader in innovative transport technologies. This project reflects the emirate’s commitment to adopting advanced mobility solutions, thereby enhancing its international appeal.

In conclusion, the imminent arrival of the PAL-V Liberty in the United Arab Emirates marks a major step forward in the field of urban mobility, offering an innovative alternative to traditional modes of transport and paving the way for a new era of personal air travel.
