The return of Dubai’s iconic attractions

As temperatures drop, Dubai officially enters its winter season, a time for outdoor activities and major reopenings. Since 1 October, two of the city’s most iconic attractions, Dubai Fountain and Dubai Miracle Garden, have reopened their doors to welcome residents and visitors. This dual event marks the start of a new, vibrant tourist season, bringing with it entertainment, shows and a return to normal city life.

Dubai, known for its extreme summer heat, regains its vitality every autumn. Residents rediscover the outdoor walks, markets, festivals and iconic landmarks for which the city is famous. And this year once again, the return of the the Burj Khalifa fountains and the the world’s most famous flower garden is generating massive enthusiasm.

Dubai Fountain: magic at the foot of the Burj Khalifa

Situated between the Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Fountain resumed its daily performances on 1 October. The world-famous show now features two daytime performances à 1.00 pm and 1.30 pm, followed by shows every 30 minutes from 6 pm to 11 pm.

This ballet of water and light, accompanied by classical, Arabic and international music, attracts thousands of visitors every day who come to admire this free open-air show. The water jets reach heights of up to 150 metres, creating a spectacular visual display against a backdrop of illuminated skyscrapers.

Right from the first performances of the season, the A large crowd turned out. Numerous tourists and residents gathered around the fountain from the afternoon onwards, making the most of the return of mild weather to admire the show from the terraces of the Dubai Mall or the boats on the Burj Lake Ride. A symbol of the city’s modernity and sophistication, the Dubai Fountain remains a must-see for anyone visiting Dubai.

Dubai Miracle Garden: a sea of flowers in the heart of the desert

On the same day, the Dubai Miracle Garden has reopened its gates, once again revealing its flower-lined paths and impressive living sculptures. The park, open from 9am to 9pm on weekdays and up to 11 pm at the weekend, is one of the most popular attractions of the season.

Established in 2013, the Miracle Garden is now the the world’s largest garden of wild flowers, with more than 150 million plants carefully arranged to form monumental works of art: aeroplanes, hearts, castles and giant figures entirely covered in flowers. Every year, new arrangements are added to the display, attracting photographers, families and social media influencers from all over the world.

As well as its beauty, the Miracle Garden symbolises Dubai’s environmental and aesthetic ambition: to make the desert bloom and to demonstrate that innovation and nature can coexist harmoniously. The park’s reopening coincides with the start of the tourist season, bringing a breath of fresh air and colour to the city.
