An emblematic symbol of downtown Dubai, the famous fountain at the foot of the Burj Khalifa is currently undergoing a major refurbishment. Temporarily closed for maintenance, the installation is preparing its grand return, scheduled for October 2025, with even more spectacular performances and a modernized infrastructure for enhanced durability.

An exceptional maintenance operation

The Dubai Fountain, renowned for its breathtaking water and light shows, is currently undergoing a complete overhaul of its underwater equipment. No fewer than 18 underwater soccer pitches are involved in the work, which includes deep pool cleaning, checking thousands of high-pressure nozzles and optimizing the water and electricity circuits.

To accomplish this titanic mission, hundreds of specialized workers are mobilized every day, assisted by autonomous underwater robots capable of operating in areas inaccessible to man. This meticulous and meticulous project is part of a commitment to preserving the technical and aesthetic excellence of one of Dubai's most visited monuments.

Sound and visual modernization

In addition to traditional maintenance, this operational pause is also an opportunity to carry out a major technological upgrade. The sound and LED lighting systems will be completely renewed, offering enhanced sound quality, more immersive lighting effects and better synchronized performances.

The aim is to push back the boundaries of aquatic entertainment, incorporating the latest advances in audio-visual technology, while reducing energy consumption through more efficient and sustainable equipment.

A return in October

The reopening of the fountain is scheduled for early October, ahead of the peak tourist season. A new program of shows should be unveiled for the occasion, with new choreography, revisited music and staging designed to dazzle an ever more demanding public.

This grand return will coincide with several major cultural and commercial events in downtown Dubai, reinforcing the destination's appeal to visitors from all over the world.

Conclusion

With this ambitious modernization, Dubai once again confirms its taste for innovation, spectacle and perfection. The Dubai Fountain, already a global icon, is set to return even more impressive, technological and sustainable. A promise kept for a city that never ceases to reinvent itself... even in the smallest details of its symbols.
