Dubai's RTA (Roads and Transport Authority) announces the complete reopening of Emirates Road, following a 14-kilometer renovation between the Sharjah and Abu Dhabi borders. The work was carried out in several phases to limit disruption to users. The aim of this major project is to improve traffic flow between the two cities, in an area where traffic density remains among the highest in the country.

Smoother traffic flow between major urban centers

Emirates Road, also known as the E611, plays an essential role in mobility between the Northern Emirates, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Its modernization reduces congestion, particularly at peak times and on public holidays, while facilitating the movement of heavy goods vehicles, private vehicles and daily commuters. This complete reopening restores full traffic capacity on a major logistical and residential axis.

Enhanced driving comfort and safety

The work involved reinforcing the road surface, upgrading safety barriers, revisingintelligent lighting andoptimizing signage. These improvements will enable smoother driving, less wear and tear on vehicles and a higher level of safety, particularly in high-traffic areas. Motorists will benefit from enhanced driving comfort, with less vibration, fewer detours and improved lane legibility.

A project in line with Dubai's vision of mobility

This renovation is part of Dubai's overall road infrastructure modernization strategy, which aims to anticipate population growth, improvetransport efficiency and reduce theenvironmental footprint associated with traffic congestion. Emirates Road is one of the major routes integrated into this vision, as a key corridor for economic, residential and logistical flows.

Conclusion: a long-awaited reopening to serve users

The complete reopening of Emirates Road marks a milestone in the proactive management of Dubai's road network. Thanks to this renovation, users will benefit from a modernized, safer and faster route, strengthening connectivity between the emirates. This initiative reflects the city's commitment to providing sustainable, high-performance infrastructure to support its development.
