United Arab Emirates 5 Major Projects Recently Revealed

The recent inaugurations of gigantic, multi-billion dollar projects will radically transform the face of the United Arab Emirates, and propel the country even further up the world rankings for competitive tourism.

The real estate sector in the Emirates is booming with these innovations, which include an indoor garden, the most extensive urban park, canals, the world’s largest wave pool, an elevated bike path, an exceptionally long walk through mangroves, and much more.

These projects are spread across the country, extending the coastline and integrating huge green spaces.

These colossal projects, worth several billion dirhams, will meet the needs of a growing population and also contribute to the sustainability of the country’s real estate market. It’s fair to say that Dubai real estate is enjoying a renaissance.

Moreover, the revelation of these multi-billion projects is reminiscent of the launch of projects such as Emirates Hills, Palm Jumeirah, and others two decades ago.

With an investment of $20 billion, “The Oasis by Emaar” byEmaar Properties will include more than 7,000 sumptuous residences. The site is framed by lakes, canals and parks, covering an area of over 100 million square feet.

This luxury development is another flagship project for the famous property developer, and is set to enjoy similar success to Emirates Hills, a favorite of international millionaires.

Nearly a quarter of the area is reserved for lakes, canals, parks, jogging trails, green spaces, four international golf courses and other luxurious amenities, offering a refined lifestyle to residents.

Residents will also enjoy a rich selection of restaurants, bars and shopping options with over 1.5 million square feet dedicated to commercial space.

Spanning over 51 million square meters, or 53.8% of Abu Dhabi Island’s surface area, Hudayriyat island will revolutionize the UAE capital’s tourist appeal, particularly in terms of adventure and sporting activities.

It will feature a 220-kilometer network of bicycle paths and the emirate’s largest urban park, among other exceptional features.

It also features the world’s largest and most sophisticated artificial wave installation, offering a high-performance surfing experience with the longest slide, the biggest tube and the largest artificial wave pool.

The island will be home to the largest urban park in the United Arab Emirates, covering more than 2.25 million square meters, with facilities for solo adventure and collective outdoor activities.

The site will also include a mangrove walk, an ecotourism center, an elevated bike path, an ecological farming zone, restaurants, bars, playgrounds and an events valley. The island already boasts facilities such as the Bab Al Nojoum glamping complex, Marsana Beach, OCR Park, Trail X, Bike Park and 321 Sports.

The Palm Jebel Ali project, which will be twice the size of Palm Jumeirah, has been given the green light. This will undoubtedly transform Dubai’s coastline. Palm Jumeirah’s imposing size makes it one of the few structures visible from space.

The multi-billion-dollar, 13.4-square-kilometer development will include vast green spaces and new waterfront activities. It will extend Dubai’s coastline by 110 kilometers and include 80 hotels, housing for 35,000 families and other structures.

Like Palm Jumeirah, this project will be a luxury haven for millionaires and billionaires. Public buildings will use renewable energies to cover around 30% of their energy needs.

The most recent project in Sharjah is Maryam island, which is being built simultaneously with Dubai’s Al Mamzar district. Spanning 3.3 million square feet, the complex will house 38 residential buildings with over 35,000 units.

It will feature a 900-meter seafront promenade, fitness centers, children’s and adult swimming pools, an indoor garden, a 4,000-square-meter park, jogging tracks, basketball courts and a children’s playground.

Its proximity to Dubai will make this new district particularly attractive to residents and tourists, as well as local property buyers.

Among the few freehold projects in the northern emirate, Shurooq’s Khorfakkan Residence stands out, with the Hajar Mountains as a backdrop.

Residents will have access to a public beach, swimming pools, water parks and other amenities. Other attractions include waves for surfing and proximity to theKhorfakkan amphitheater.
