Dubai is preparing to celebrate the arrival of 2026 with one of the most impressive festive displays in the world. True to its reputation as a city of spectacular events, the emirate will set off 48 fireworks displays across more than 40 iconic locations, offering an XXL show visible throughout the city. From the Burj Khalifa to Palm Jumeirah, Expo City, Dubai Festival City, and Bluewaters, every neighborhood will take part in this exceptional night.

This large-scale organization allows Dubai to offer an immersive and accessible experience, avoiding excessive crowding in any one area while ensuring a high-quality show throughout the emirate.

Iconic locations transformed into party venues

The Burj Khalifa will remain the focal point of the celebrations, with a show combining fireworks, lasers, and synchronized light displays. Thousands of spectators are expected to gather around Downtown to witness one of the most iconic moments of New Year's Eve worldwide.

But the experience isn't limited to the city center. Palm Jumeirah will offer a spectacular show visible from many hotels and private beaches. Dubai Festival City will combine fireworks and light projections on the water, while Bluewaters and Expo City will offer modern shows in more open-air environments, ideal for families and groups.

This diversity of locations allows everyone to choose their preferred atmosphere, whether urban, seaside, or more family-oriented.

A strict traffic plan to ensure safety

To ensure public safety and smooth traffic flow, authorities have announced several major road closures, which must be anticipated.

From 4 p.m., access to Al Asayel Road, Burj Khalifa Street, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard will be restricted.
From 8 p.m., Al Sukook Street will be closed to traffic.
At 9 p.m., Financial Centre Street will become inaccessible.
Finally, from 11 p.m., Sheikh Zayed Road will be closed at several strategic points.

These closures will remain in place until the end of the festivities and the dispersal of the crowd after midnight. It is strongly recommended that you plan your travel in advance and avoid driving in central areas.

Enhanced transportation for a stress-free night

To facilitate access to the celebration sites, Dubai has planned exceptional transportation arrangements. The metro will operate continuously for 43 hours, with increased frequency on the busiest lines. Free shuttles will also be provided in several key areas, along with free parking on the outskirts.

These measures aim to encourage the use of public transportation and reduce traffic congestion, while ensuring a smooth experience for residents and visitors alike.

Practical tips for enjoying New Year's Eve

To fully enjoy this XXL New Year's Eve, it is advisable to arrive early at your chosen locations, sometimes several hours in advance. Bring water and comfortable clothing, and check traffic information regularly to avoid any unpleasant surprises.

The authorities also remind everyone of the importance of following safety guidelines and instructions on site to ensure a peaceful evening for all.

A unique signature for Dubai

With this extraordinary display, Dubai once again confirms its ability to host world-class events. New Year's Eve 2026 promises to be a spectacular, safe, and unforgettable moment, just like the city itself.
